Irmaos do Ritmo – Baile de Bossa

The (to me) completely unknown Irmãos do Ritmo with their only (?) and unlisted album, recorded at an unknown date, have their premiere on Parallel Realitis, thanks to Pedro & 300discos.

Fortunately, you can read on the back cover a text about the the four brothers: Marcos Antonio, José Carlos, Gumercido and Luiz Carlos who planned to form a vocal quartet, but added another five members and formed a mainly instrumental, mini orchestra instead:

Os Vocalistas Modernos for the first time on Parallel Realities with their second career album out of altogether three + two EPs, recorded between 1958 and 1961.

This vocal band consists of five girls: Ivone, Odaléa, Vera, Consuela and Marly and four boys: Edgardo, Cosme, Abelardo and Emanuel all of them combining their voices according to artistic requests by Maestro Carlos Monteiro de Sousa. More about Brazilian vocal bands in general and Os Vocalistas Modernos in particular, you may read in the linear notes on the back cover, written by Lúcio Rangel.
